Other than being 24V, what's not to like about this light? Of course, I can't knock something made for a different purpose, for not entirely matching mine. I did initially test this light first with an adjustable power supply. I considered running this light with that, but it seemed like a hassle and also meant that I couldn't use the light and test some project at the same time. Amazon, also sells 24V power supplies for literally $8-$9. Problem solved for next to nothing. This light now works PERFECTLY for my 3D printing / craft bench.Beyond looking really cool and utilitarian, this light is VERY sturdy. All of my 3 other articulating lights (which also sticker for more $) are far less stiff than this light. By that, I mean that they don't hold their positions anywhere close to as rigidly as this light does. I can truly set and forget this light. I can hang things from it. I can drape cords over it. It is pretty cool.The only minor downside is that the light is now able to be dimmed or cooled/warmed. On. Off. Those are your choices. However, I will say that this light is at a reasonable level for a broad group of needs. Plus things like my microscope have their own lighting. So soldering, tinkering, etc are what I need this for and this light works perfectly for that.I'm sure this light would work wonderfully for its intended purpose. It also works great for a variety of others. I considered mounting it out in my garage, but it looks too cool not do be in on my bench. 5 stars for this awesome tool!!!
