I bought this lamp last week because the price was right and a friend recommended it as a great option for a task lamp. So far, I am in love! It took 2 minutes to set it up. It can be set up as a tall floor lamp or a table lamp. It changes light color: white task light, reading light, and a warm, yellow, ambiant light. The gooseneck allows you to set the position just so. The lamp is dimmable. At the brightest intensity, this lamp is PLENTY bright! However, the lamp's light source stays cool, which I love. The base is solid and keeps the lamp steady, but the lamp is light enough to move around with ease, when needed. The power switch is convenient and easy to use. I have started doing my makeup in the living room because the light options are perfect for glamming up for day or night. If you want the perfect lighting where you need it, to read, craft, sew, model, complete paperwork, study... (really, anything!), this lamp seems to be a winner!This is a great light. Super easy to put together. It has a weighted base so it doesn't tip over, 3 rod pieces for your own desired height (picture with all 3). You can pick 3 colors of white. They also have a dimming function to adjust the brightness. Overall really good quality.This is a really nice and easy to assemble LED lamp. I have it next to my art desk and it has different settings for different types of lighting which is really cool. The only thing I can recommend is it have a slightly larger base so it's not as wobbly on a thick rug floor. Other than that I really like the light.The stand has a heavy base making it very stable. The light is bright but the variable intensity adjustment makes it functional in most any environment.I have the 18 watt lamp, and it took 3 pieces to put together. The lamp is very thin, bright, and flexible. Very flexible. The rubber part of the pole can be shaped in any direction. The touch pad is easy to read and to use. I like changing the hues from warm to white, and the brightness settings have a big range. It is a strong light, best suited for lighting a desk in a small space. The base is small, so it should fit anywhere. Here, I fit it in a space where none of my other lamps fit and there was still room. It is extremely low-profile. I found it nice to be able to choose to have it as a floor lamp or table lamp, especially with the small base.The base is small, which can be bad because it can fall over easily if not in a corner. The power cord is in the middle of the pole. I wish the power cord could be run through the inside of the lamp to the floor, but it can't. The other bad news is that I can't figure out how to replace the light bulb when that day comes that the included light goes out.I purchased this to be a reading lamp by my chair in our camper. This way, I don't have to have the overhead lights on, shining into our bedroom, after my husband goes to bed. I love that it can be adjusted for softer light, or brighter. The black finish blends nicely with the grays of our decor. It has been a fantastic addition to camping life.The lamp itself, once constructed, is really neat. I am not actually sure how to get the lamp to do custom colors, but there are a bunch of different settings on the remote, so I'm sure you could find a setting you like. The instructions could be done much better. First, you just assemble the main "pole" of the lamp, which is essentially just pushing the longer bits together, and then thread the LED strip up and into the tall pole. You definitely want to thread the LED strip up into the pole from the bottom, without removing the tape at first, because the plug cannot be pushed down into the opening at the bottom if you just try to run the LED strip from the top. I didn't realize this at first. Once the LED strip is inside the pole, you need to press the long wobbly clear rubber strip into the pole. There is a couple of "extra" inches of this wobbly clear rubber strip that, according to the instructions, can just be pushed into the bottom of the pole. In practicality, this does not work. You would be better just marking off the extra and cutting it off with a pair of scissors in my opinion. Once you have cut your hand a few times trying to figure out the assembly of the light pole itself and gotten everything installed and squared away, you can then screw it into the base and plug everything in.All in all, the light looks really nice, I like the dimmability, but the instructions could be better, and the long rubbery clear cover bit could be actually cut to the dimensions you need rather than having extra and totally unnecessary inches that you will struggle to figure out what to do with. Also the poles could do to slide in together easier. I appreciate that they are sturdy, but I did cut the bajeezus out of my hand assembling this thing.
