This lamp turned out to be a delightful purchase! Given the price, I did not expect it to be as nice, and as sturdy as it is (it’s heavy, and that’s a good thing). I bought Edison bulbs for it and they complement the lamp nicely.This lamp is surprisingly heavy and not readily knocked over. It was made better than I expected with no plastic. It is sensitive to the touch when adjusting brightness. Use the right bulb, incandescence worked just fine.One of the pair seems to last a few months and then no longer lights after less than 10 uses!! Also the USB port is obsolete to charge my new phone.Not very bright even on brightest setting. Kind of small. Mostly shade. But look good on bedroom side tables.These lights are much heavier than I expected, very good quality. You don’t have to worry about knocking this over trying to find it in the dark, it’s sturdy and the touch feature makes it a perfect bedside light.My friend and I both loved this little lantern when we saw it while eating at a fancy restaurant in Cape Cod. The waiter was nice enough to find out where they had purchased them and we immediately looked it up on Amazon. We both bought one and we are both so happy with the quality and price. I'm buying another for my husband's nightstand, since I put the one I bought on my nightstand. Buy it, you won't be dissappointed.It’s well made. Easy on and off. Like the dimming feature!!It's a very nice lamp. I do like the 3 dimmable settings.Update: Well, after about 3 months of using this lamp, there's now a distinct ringing noise every time I turn on the lamp. I thought it was the lightbulb so I swapped it for a new one, but the noise persists. I most likely will be on the lookout for another lamp as I don't need the constant ringing.
