I love it ! It feels very sturdy and it's metallic too! Wish it had different modes but it's good for the money! I'll update with pics soon. Not a sponsored reviewI am using it as a spot lamp for my plants. I even liked it so much that this was my second purchase. I am using a grow light in mine, and it is working great! The clamp is very sturdy and holds nicely. I recommend this item.I've had a quite similar lamp for 30 years that just broke - the turn on/off knob and socket back disintegrated. At most half that time I could have been using a maximum advised wattage bulb but since then I've been using bulbs that generate very little heat. It's not a heavily used light either. The reason I need this lamp is because it's in a small room and the outlet switched to the entry wall switch is right behind a large and tall computer desk where a table lamp doesn't fit. There is a larger light fixture in there for thorough lighting. The most important feature is the strong clamp - this little lamp comes with a proper clamp which is increasingly rare in this age of wimpy sissy clamps. Also important for me, since I'm used to it, is having the on/off button at the lamp. I hope the toggle "button" is at least as durable as the common turn switch. The cord for me goes behind the desk so any on-cord switch isn't terribly accessible and they're not so nice anyway. I expected the cord to be a little longer - my last one had a super tight fit to the outlet; this one is longer, but only by three inches. The cord on this one is lighter gauge but acceptable.I like that the flexible neck is longer on this lamp which should allow for easy positioning. But it's no better than the stiffer, shorter, fatter neck of the old lamp. The old lamp was somewhat hard to position and so is the new one because the neck has to be twisted just right so it doesn't droop. This is the one flaw but it's equivalent to what I'm used to.I paid $20 for this new (unfortunately) Made in China lamp and I could have repaired my old lamp for $10 plus a small amount of my labor. It was a close call but I'm happy with this lamp.Very handy!Especially like the on-off button on top which you just press, instead of the switch you must turn.I bought 2 of these and put grow bulbs for my tropical bonsai over winter and they work great. My only dislike would be that the clamp could be better, maybe a different design as it is just a large clip with foam and it can be hard for it to grip onto things, other than that a great little lamp. This is a good, adjustable position desk lamp. Maybe the light bulb I put in isn't the correct brightness, because it's a bit dim. Turning it on is a bit hard, you really have to push hard on the button.Amazingly my version holds on well and does it's job. The clip is metal and seems to be excellent. There is a plastic bit that holds the cord to the clip that will undoubtedly brake in about 6 minutes, but it should still work. The metal swivel neck is tight, but I haven't been adjusting it much; I would anticipate that it will fail after some time if it is being used. Not bad for being made in China.
